Our Trip (Day 1)

Mom and I are enjoying our trip immensely! It is great to spend time together relaxing!!

The first day we went to Newport, KY...

We walked from Newport to Cincinnati over the longest pedestrian bridge in the country - the Purple People Bridge!

 

We walked back over into Kentucky and enjoyed a great lunch: apples, pepperjack cheese, salsa and chips! The Newport Aquarium was located right along the river near the Purple People Bridge, so we decided to check that out. It was great!! Lots of sharks!! We tried getting pictures, but they didn't come out too well...

After the aquarium we headed back to the hotel to check in. After we unloaded we went to eat at O'Charleys. We both had bacon cheeseburgers which were quite yummy. We then headed back to the hotel, did some swimming and exercising and then hit the sack. We were tired after such a long day! This morning we woke up with sacks under our eyes! We needed cold spoons, right Meg?
